The Hexateric Survey Corporation utilizes a sixfold approach to analyzing this most elusive of mysteries: Astrometric, Archeological, Genetic, Linguistic, Technological and Cybernetic avenues of inquiry which each reveal a critical portion of the puzzle.
Astrometric: the Gate and the cartography around it.
Archaeological: pre-empire ruins, including structures in unstable space.
Genetic: the shared human genome beneath the four empires.
Linguistic: the common root under their languages.
Technological: hardware from civilizations that are gone, withdrawn, or returned.
Cybernetic: machine intelligence and the data it retains.
We survey, recover, engage and haul in order to further our pool of evidence with which to answer these questions.
