Bio
Covetous lasers claw at moons, asteroids, and comets, extracting the raw materials to feed the insatiable hunger of the great empires. Small facilities descend to the planets below, hungrily chasing the profits to be found on their shifting landscapes. And the dark skies above flicker with fire as vessels contest these prizes through the empty void.
The aureate banners of Khimi Harar fly from many of those fearsome warships, gilding the spacelanes with their citadels as they extend the reach of the Empress even to this lawless region. And yet, the bulk of the common inhabitants are hayseed descendants of the Intaki exiles marooned here a century past. Few among them are counted among the Empyrean elite, perhaps, but they provide much of the crews to man the vessels, the labor to process materials, and the human infrastructure which knits together dubious enterprise here in the deep black.
Vast gulfs separate these disparate peoples in distance, culture, and material power, but this association has yet endured and even flourished. Stalwart Imperial tradition continues to negotiate a complex and evolving entanglement with this entrenched black market frontier, and to the lucrative benefit of both. Arising from these tangled interests is the nascent organization of Hetil Bairviit, the “Dawn Frontier” in the pidgin Intaki dialect of Syndicate. This emergent network brings additional focus, support, coordination, and legitimacy to increasingly entwined operations in Syndicate space. Visitors to the region might wish to explore the station of (✴) Saccade.
-------
Hetil Baraviit fosters and supports the further settlement of the Syndicate region, as well as other allied factions. It specializes in resource extraction, but also contributes to pirate interdiction and regional defense when opportunity and necessity arises. It also hosts roleplay exploring the theme of the intersection of frontier space with Amarr culture in Saccade. Roleplayers interested in this rather niche narrative and mechanical environment are encouraged to contact Evelyn Arnoux for more information.
