Most people will never know how bureaucratic Pandemic Horde management really was. A bunch of paper pushers, trying to roleplay military leaders. The only thing they had going for them was numbers and a certain laissez-faire attitude in day to day ops. If you wanted to change or risk something substantial, they already knew 'better'. No risk unless you were one of the guys at the top - or a 'special' friend of the administration. In the end, every decision came down to cost/risk; fun never was a part of the equation. They couldn't wrap their heads around the concept that Eve is just a videogame, not a business. 'There is not a snowballs chance in hell that Goonswarm will invade for real, because there is nothing in it for them.' - there was. Fun. Just for the hell of it. And we were ordered to just let it happen and run. Trillions down the drain, thousands of members pissed and disillusioned. What a joke.
We really need to apologize to Goonswarm (fuckers they are though) - they deserved a better opponent.
