Soldiers will fall to weapons, Empires crumble to people, but what brings them these achievements? Information. Our Empire was a victom to our lack of information on our enemy. How can we learn from our enemy if nothing survives the onslaught. I sent probes, spies, cloaked ships, and everything I had at my disposal to find out as much as I could about "them". Yet, nothing came back, except scraps, and disapointment. I admire their thuroughness of information control. I almost wished I could be like them, if only to serve my Emperor as effeciently as they do themselves. I am the Emperors Shadow, or at least I was, until "they" almost wiped clean everything I knew of our Empire. Now I am just the living memory of our secrets, our information, and quite possibly the only means to rebuild everything when the time comes.

My spies were everywhere, my ships trailed everything of interest, and my spy probes kept entire planets in check. Nothing escaped me, every word I said went to the Emperor directly, and every action our Empire made was calculated, surgical, and precise. I made that happen. I was the reason we could do everything so quick and clean, like a well kept blade.

Our Empire may have fallen, we may be scattered to the winds of space, but I will keep us all together. I will keep us informed of our progress to the plan. I will one day be as effecient as "they" are, and when that day comes, I will reclaim my place to my Emperors side, rebuild my network, and just maybe, wipe away the information of their existance, to nothing at all.
