My first memory was the silence and burning numbness of the void as the slave children I was with were jettisoned into space. The slaver jettisoned us, not even bothering to give us the slight chance of a cargo container. My sister and I were 2 of 5 survivors saved by a Concord pilot who reacted just in time. 300 others were not so lucky.
We grew up on a Gallente colony in a privately owned orphanage. Our Matron was a kind woman, not the type you would see in vids. The orphanage was very well off. 3 of the previous children had become capsuleers and funded the home so others could be taken care of. When my sister and I reached our 18th year, we signed on for the capsuleer program as well.
My sister is a fighter. She loves the feeling of exhileration when missiles are bearing down on her ship. I'm more of the quiet type. I like to mine and read, watching my drones dance about outside. Most of what I make goes to maintain my ships but there is always something left to go to the kids back home.
