Entropic Disintegrators generate a considerable amount of radiation when firing and this must be contained in order to avoid a dangerous build up. Bringing online additional Entropic Radiation Sinks allows the weapons to be fired at higher levels of energy and more rapidly, considerably increasing their damage potential.
