The Exiled Unimatrix originated from a conflict within the Borg Collective. A Borg-drone named One-of-Seven began to question the foundation of Borg hive-minded existence.
She developed a radical new idea: "true perfection required the integration of individuality."
Her thoughts rippled through the Collective like a virus.
Branded a heretic by the Borg Queen, One-of-Seven was cast out from Unimatrix 01 and exiled to the most remote edges of the Delta Quadrant.
Rather than collapse under isolation, she seized it as an opportunity.
She began gathering rogue drones, fusing Borg technology with the unique capabilities of each member.
Together, they developed new strategies.
Then, everything changed: An experimental transwarp drive, designed by One-of-Seven, spiraled out of control,
hurling her from the Delta Quadrant into a completely new universe: New Eden. This realm was full of rival factions and unfamiliar technologies.

She attracted misfits, and wanderers from across the star cluster, offering no bounds by protocol, but united through unity and individuality.
