Those of us who were the first to launch ourselves to the stars were told it was a one way trip. We exchanged our mortal bodies for the immortality of the stars told we would never again see with our own eyes or leave our pod.
There were many mistakes and accidents among the first to leap into space. Those of us who survived the transition held power far greater then ever imagined. The first of us banded together not for power, not for fame, glory or fortune but for simple survival.
From this madness the first Pelikan Inc. corporation were founded.
This is the are story of what was, that those who now fly through the stars will know where they come from. This also survives as a warning to those who now live, there are far older, and far deadlier creatures that slumber, pray they never awaken.
