54th Gunslingers Brigade [GUNSB] Closed

The Gunslingers are a remnant platoon of Amarrian soldiers and pilots who fought for a briefly existing seperatist confederate government in the Vivanier system.

This confederacy (known as the Independent Faction) sought to create a democratic state free from the tyranny of the Amarrian emperor, while retaining it's right to continue the practice of slavery.

Choosing the outer rim of Federation space, the confederates soon established numerous colonies upon various worlds.
Although the Federation colonists welcomed the Independent settlers at first, the discovery of numerous slave operated cotton plantations, and textile factories soured relations and quickly escalated into armed conflict.

Although achieving numerous small victories, the outnumbered Amarrian confederacy soon crumbled beneath the superior Federation forces.

Although the majority of the Independents are believed to have fled back to the Amarr empire, a small group of Independent soldiers continued fighting - refusing to give up their dreams of a democratic Amarrian state.
