She pondered the prostrate figure before her, the cold metal tip of the needle glimmering in the starlight reflected from the station window.

This was her birth-right she told herself, a birth-right never acknowledged, never given. The anger welled up in her, feeding on itself. This man, her father, had snatched her away from her mothers arms, a mother she had never known, never had a chance to know. She was of noble birth regardless of that merchants blood running through her fathers veins. Her blood was rich in that nobility - but it had always been a secret, always hidden away inside her fathers head, not to be spoken of... "The scandal would be too great" her father had always said.

And what had he made of her, his only daughter, of noble blood? Why, nothing more than low-level freighter pilot! Well, now was the time for vengence! Without hesitation she sunk that long steel needle deep into her fathers brain, "I'll take what you will not give father" she cried.
