I need to sail the coldest seas between the distant stars; tiny islands of fire scattered wide in the void. To find something in vast nothingness. To boldly go where others may or may not have gone before but whatever.

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Eden
And danced the stars on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve impulsed, and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split nebulae,
High in the empty silence. Hov’ring there,
I’ve chased the solar wind along, and flung
My eager craft through endless halls of icy ink....
Through the long, delirious, burning black
I’ve topped the particle wind-swept warpgates with easy grace.
Where never Spacelark, or even Jove flew —
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my scan, and seen the work of God.
