Alexi Tivianne is one of many descendants of one of the oldest and most prestigious family dynasties in the Federation; the Tiviannes, who can trace their family name back to the first original settlers of Gallentia.
As an only child of two textbook overachievers who had fulfilled their family name; Keivan Tivianne - a Senator - and Helena Tivianne - an Admiral in the Gallente Federal Navy - Alexi had always been held to a high standard and was expected to achieve great things.
Unfortunately, though Alexi proved to have a great interest in Politics and a love for all matters military, unlike his parents he was always found lacking. Though he loathes to admit it publicly, Alexi knows the only reason he enjoys Capsuleer status is his parents' connections; and he has made it his life's goal to earn the position of responsibility he was simply handed.
Alexi has made at least one failed attempt to run for a Senate position in Dodixie, running on a platform of de-corporatisation and militarisation to counter the Caldari; whom Alexi considers to be a total and existential threat. His fiercely held socialist values and tendency to disagree with Senior Fleet Commanders have all but made political office an impossibility, however.
