Three minds
Oil had spilled in our beautiful ocean
The tendrils of darkness crept over the clear water
Polluting everything it touched, spreading out uncontrollably
We reviled at the sight of it, felt revulsion at its notion
Don’t ruin our clear waters, not her!

Water pushed against our lucid wonder
Dreadful ropes of limpid water
It spoke of age old pillars and boundaries defined
We struck into it relentlessly, tried to put it asunder
Don’t thin our shining oil, not her!

Water and oil smashed together
Never relenting or willing to give in
The strands of both liquids reached deep into each other
But their nature forbid them their touch

Storms build up, a mighty weather
Lighting struck and formed a linchpin
The oceans ablaze, oil and water now a brother
A single spark led to this violent sight,
because accepting each other was too much
