Driven to hard times by a series of astoundingly poor life choices and believing he had nowhere else to turn, Simias stowed away on the spacecraft "Voyager I" launched during Earth year 1977 AD. Through utilization of the human spirit of exploration for sustenance and careful rationing of some trail mix Simias survived much longer than initially predicted, eventually drifting into New Eden where he was picked up by a pasing Minmitar vessel. This gives Simias the distinction of being the only person whose origns in New Eden don't involve the Eve Gate in any way.

When the universe was created, so was the name "Simias". For eons the cosmos churned on, waiting for one awesome enough to carry the name. That time has come.
