In an attempt to create a new breed of capsuleer specifically enhanced for Tactical Combat, The Center of Advanced Studies perminitly shut down the project, deeming it to be "inhumane". Theories arose of mistreatment of the subjects a short time after the CoAS made the attempted project public when a few of their "patients" began a spree of violent crimes within the neighbouring systems of Lisbaetanne.
Those few subjects whom vowed obedience to the laws of The Federation and CONCORD were released from custody. Some ramian Loyal, others turned to piracy as a way to seek revenge.
