The Bach family origins go back two centuries as a byproduct of the CGRIP (Caldari Genetics Research Improvement Program). Intent on improving Deteis genetic stock, the program used archeological artifacts consisting of EVE Gate recovered DNA in Caldari State test tube repopulation runs. Some of the seed DNA used had been reconstituted from a microscopic bloodsample found on a piece of ancient pre-EVE Gate handwritten sheetmusic. Two generations later the decendants of that line of test tube results petitioned the Caldari State for exclusive use of the name which they recovered from the original music sheet artifact. Pressured by fears of general public knowledge on past near-illegal genetic misconduct, the Caldari Conscriptorate had no choice other than to approve the new Deteis sub bloodline designated Bach1.
