Born to Ruffik and Joatta Romnir, Sjord Romnir spent most of his youth in a special underwater sebiestor colony, located on the flooded world of Ryddinjorn III. With both his parents being skilled traders, Sjord was easily assimilated into their hobby. Like other Minmatar, he underwent multiple tests to determine his path in life, eventually earning the sacred Voluval mark.

After reaching manhood, he finally decided to pursue an adventurous role in both trade and combat, as well as launching off his home world to enter Capsuleer training.
