Lightuke Shattercoin

As the trade fleet owned by the Shattercoin Clan burned around them, Augustus Shattercoin did a system check to confirm that everything was prepared for his and his son's, Lightuke, jump clones.

Suddenly, a flash blinded them. Out the viewport Augustus saw a strange multicolored celestial body seemingly forming out of nowhere.

He immediately noticed that the body was disrupting signals, preventing both jumping to warp speed and possibly the jump cloning.

Seeing no alternative, Lightuke put out a call for all remaining ships in the fleet to make directly for the expanding clouds as his father aligned their flaghip with the body. With a final smile to his son, Augustus flew at full speed directly into the cloud.

Lightuke awoke in his jump clone pod with no knowledge of what had transpired, except that over 1000 years had passed. Looking over to his father's pod, he saw it empty and covered in dust. Alone and destitute, Lightuke was determined to investigate this new age.
