The Ten Commandments of Surviving EVE (Newbro Edition)

1. Thou shalt not scrap thy loot.
If your Reprocessing skill is I–III, it isn’t worth a wet fart. You’re throwing away half the value. Store it, stack it, haul it home later when you’ve got proper skills.

2. Thou shalt not sell to vultures.
Mission hubs are full of parasites with buy orders at 20% of Jita price. Don’t feed them. If you can haul it 2–3 jumps for double the ISK, do it. Laziness costs more than hauling ever will.

3. Thou shalt insure all free ships.
If CCP hands you a free ship, slap Platinum Insurance on it. When it inevitably goes bang, you just made ISK on something that cost you nothing.

4. Thou shalt do the tutorials.
Skip them if you want, but you’re skipping free SP, free implants, free ISK, and free ships. More importantly, you’re skipping the chance to actually learn how not to die like an idiot.

5. Thou shalt beware courier scams.
If the collateral looks “too low” for the cargo, it’s bait. You’re not stealing a billion-ISK hull, you’re about to eat a billion-ISK loss. If you don’t 100% understand a contract, don’t click “Accept.”

6. Thou shalt not mine for thy sanity.
Yes, the tutorial makes you mine. Yes, it’s boring. That’s the point — to teach mechanics. But don’t think sitting in a Venture chewing Veldspar is a career. It’s how brain cells die.

7. Thou shalt learn patience.
This game doesn’t do “instant gratification.” Skills take days, weeks, months. The grind is the game. Accept it, plan around it, and you’ll last. Rookies who chase Titans by Christmas don’t.

8. Thou shalt not fear losing ships.
You will explode. Everyone does. Your first ten losses are tuition, not failure. Every wreck is a lesson in fittings, ranges, and mistakes. Pay attention.

9. Thou shalt fly what thou can afford to lose.
If you can’t replace it three times over, you can’t afford it. That faction-fit cruiser isn’t a flex, it’s just a shiny pi\xf1ata waiting for some pirate’s killboard.

10. Thou shalt play the long game.
The richest players aren’t the best fighters — they’re the most patient schemers. Pick your grind, stick to it, and let time do its work.
