Danille Chelian found her calling early in life. Her parents accepted her unconventional interests as a child: an extensive mineral collection and a toy box full of model spaceships. She excelled at school and was recruited to the prestigious Center for Advanced Studies. While contemplating the blue glow of a mining laser, she realized that the underlying structure of all things was ultimately mathematics.
