At the end of the Gallente-Caldari war the Caldari Government started a program to genetically engineer better pilots and soldiers. With the development of cloning and implant technology this project was considered to be even more vital. The project was named the Defender initiative and numerous genetic lines were created as the best genetic material was taken not only from Caldari military operatives but also from top operatives in theother nationss.
A number of legacy lines were created before the project was shut down. The Valos line was one that the Caldari military establishment had great hopes for success. Engineered for loyalty as well as higher than standard intelligence the Valos line was considered to be the pinnacle of the project.
Kylani Valos was the final product of the line and considered to be the best the project had ever produced. Despite the shutdown of the project the government hoped that Kylani would perform above expectations. She didn't instead she fled.
