Ley Yun

Ley is the seventh of his father's sons, but the only son of his father's second marriage. Although being of the ruling caste it was unlikely that he would rule anywhere unless some unforseen accident happened to his 6 older brothers.

Ley and his brothers were dressed in ancient swordsman outfits for a ceremony, Ley found one of his brothers argueing with a servant and threatening him with his katana. Ley tried to intervene but his brother turned on Ley in a rage swinging the katana. Ley leaned back trying to avoid the blade but it cut deeply into his face and severed his right arm.

Ley realised the frailty of life and trained to be a capsuleer.

On one of his exploring trips Ley answered a distress call from a miner being attacked by pirates. Ley saved the miner who turned out to be a Minimata capsuleer, Jakkie Lan. The two became fast friends and after a short romance they were married.
