A Sonnet of a Capsuleer
Oh Ammake, where my Maelstrom did crawl,
Through dim-lit glass I scarce could see at all;
The frigates laughed, my wreckage marked the fall.
In VSIG’s dark reach I joined a noisy crew,
Of pilots green and many, foolish too;
We fed the wolves—yet there my learning grew.
In Ostingele’s fields I sought the grail,
Trod each blaze, though ruin claimed the rest;
From burning wrecks I learned what worked the best.
Around Hevrice I roamed the starlit tide,
Met dancing steel where fates of ships collide;
At times I rose where once I only died.
The Tuskers’ band, took pity on my soul,
They took me in, they gave me a home;
I fumbled still, yet learned to fly and roam.
In Bosboger I chased my final flame,
Where battles bright still carried joy, not shame;
Then silence fell, and years concealed my name.
In Hevrice back I undock, stars both strange and new,
Around its lanes lie bubbles where none were in view;
My pirate hulls barred, yet still I laugh anew.
I sail on words where once I flew through dread,
New Eden lingers, though mostly in my head.
