Born into a world of espionage, political intrigue, and subversive manipulation; Intaki ex-arbitrator Remus Short is no stranger to the duality exhibited by his fellow diplomats - those infamous throughout the cluster for their skill and cunning in the field.
It was only natural that Short hired out his expertise to whoever could pay his fee. This proved to be a dangerous decision, as he often found himself between weapons drawn and primed in moments of passion and contempt.
Opting to retire from meddling in the perilous affairs of governments, syndicates, and corporate bodies; Short began his life as a capsuleer. This was both as a means of escaping the inevitable botched negotiation that would end his life, and to seek fortune among the stars as one who no would no longer need fear death.
No longer bound to any one nation, Short now enjoys a reasonable amount of success as an inter-regional trader, and can often afford to experiment with much more... risky ventures.
