Escaped, armed, and burning with hatred, they raided her district in the night. Vega’s parents were executed in front of her. Her younger sibling was butchered in the chaos. What they called liberation was nothing but murder.
Vega fought back.
In the struggle, a stolen blade destroyed her left eye, leaving her bleeding among the corpses of her family. She survived by clinging to prayer, whispering scripture through pain while the attackers fled.
She did not lose her faith.
She refined it.
Vega no longer believes God is gentle. She believes He is watchful. She believes survival is not mercy, but assignment. She entered capsuleer training not to escape her past, but to arm it.
Her cybernetic eye is etched with holy sigils. Her quarters hold relics from her family’s home. Before every undock, she kneels and prays—not for protection, but for clarity.
