Amalric Talvanen

Amalric was driven hard to educate himself as a child by his father. He was told in no uncertain terms at the age of 8 that his family tradition dictates that faliure to atain financial success by the age of 21 or to bring any shame upon their family name would result in disownment.

Disownment in the Talvannen family usualy meant being sold illegally into slavery if said family member did not "disappear".

Amalric worked hard though many brutal studies and exams for a chance at a wealthy and successful life. Only a handful of clones where made available for the top performing pupils of the Science and Trade Institute for the cycle in which he would graduate.

To add more pressure during that particular graduation cycle a fellow pupil had cracked under stress and set up an terrorist attack with The Guristas. The cracked pupil half failed in his mission killing himself and destroying all but one of the clone bays.

Amalric passed with distinction winning the capsuleer job.
