Skyleth Bergen is a Gallentean astrobiologist currently employed by [LZHX] to study the microbial ecology of planets in the farther regions of New Eden. When the human migration to New Eden galactic cluster thousands of years ago took place, microbes came along for the ride. The distinct geochemistries of alien planets have exposed these microbes to diverse and unanticipated selection pressures that have in turn lead to facinating new adaptations and molecular mechanisms. Studying these novel mechanisms engenders a competative edge in the field of biotechnology and it is rumored that they are running a secret research program revolving around a treatment for space AIDS.
