Malach HaMavis

The gaping maw of the endless night
Commands mere mortals with its might.
There's no escaping eternal dark,
No god lives here, no Noah's Ark.

-Jita Poet

Hold on, dear child,
The night it draws breath,
This Black void has eyes,
The Angel of death.

A shadow made one,
An unspeakable black,
Even grown men have run,
With this beast at their back.

Wings swept upon high,
Like the slice of a blade,
your fate is to die,
your grave has been laid.

So take heart, dear one,
for there is no-one who knew,
when Malach Ha-Mavis,
Will be coming for you.
