Once holding a seat on the ruling council of his family Zahrk left his position prefering instead to seek fortune among the more efficient and practically minded Caldari.

Democracy is pervasive. Empowering. Once an Imperial loyal descended from Amarrian royalty, Zahrk was plagued by heretical thoughts of freedom for all. In studying the histories of many worlds and cultures he as come to the conclusion that the human soul yearns for freedom. No matter how hard any tyrant attempts to control the actions and even thoughts of another, one will always yearn to be self-governed. Because of this, Zahrk has since largely distanced himself from the Empire to seek fortune in the Gallente Federation. While still firmly rooted in Ammarian war doctrine, he prefers the free-spirited Gallente.
