Best and easiest option is to simply ignore Dawn.
Dawn is probably more scared of you then you are of it, Dawn's first natural instinct is to run.
If you hit D-scan and see nothing in system, Dawn's probably cloaked watching you
If you would like a wild Dawn to engage something, leave an MTU out and make sure Local is empty.
If you feel Dawn is being arrogant and belittling you, sit back and rethink your situation, Dawn doesn't have much of a "leg" to stand on.
