DATA is a legacy of androids created in the 24th century of Terran civilization. Although billions of androids have walked the universe, only Mr Data was widely accepted as the choice for humans due to his natural appearance, physical resillience, and what later became known as the "Data phenomena" where some failed modifications accidentally led to an almost completely sentient being.
