Ghan Quralert is the last living heir of the prominant Quralert family of Henebene IV. Though his considerable wealth includes 43% of the arable land on his homeworld, since falling into a deep depression in YC 106 he has paid it little attention. At the advice of a psychotherapist, who thought having a challenging goal would help him recover his youthful exuberance, in YC 2009 he enrolled in the capsuleer training and certification course at the Federal Navy Academy.

Ghan did find a new purpose in life while at the Academy, though his psychotherapist (who he has since fired) was vexed by his choice. After becoming fast friends with a Minmatar exchange student from the Republic Military School, Ghan chose to devote his future to a guerrilla warfare campaign against the pernicious evil of the Amarr Empire. Cut off from his friends who chose more traditional paths after graduation, Ghan roams the galaxy pursuing justice against those who support the morally corrupt theocratic Empire.
