Marooned in an alternate universe adjacent to our own, where thoughts materialize into reality, Mundi Arcanus believed he was a god, and his own worse curse. Dreaming usually left him lost in some valley where spiders roamed, or in a forest that stretched on into infinity. His only escape from this ever changing morase was to invent a technology in his mind that allowed him to escape that alternate universe, and arrive in this one.

Once he transitioned into this universe, he thought he found heaven. Finally, a place that never changes, and objects and people exist regardless if you wanted them to. The only negative aspect of this universe was that it was based on material wealth. You had to work to eat.

Most people Mundi Arcanus met told him to go to school to learn new skills that would be useful to others, some said it was all about instinct and how you react in a crisis situation. Mundi decided to learn to be both a mission runner and a miner.
