A capsuleer whose DNA was partially synthesized by his father's biotech corporation, Tomplin's Frontal and temporal lobes have emerged radically altered by the process. His Interests led him to take no less than three degrees in psychology, english and medicine at the Minmatar Republic Academy before returning to space at the beginning of the Fountain war.

His early work for the Minmatar gave him freedom. He has always answered to himself. But the self has been a harsh master for him as he has often chosen pacifism out of conscience, and in EVE this has gotten him killed too many times.

This can do something to a capsuleer. Clones are good, but hey, technology is a human endeavour and humans ain't perfect. Reconstructive work with Nanite biopastes have helped John recover his cognitive abilities, but they cannot restore his feelings of conscience or change the way he moves from kill to kill now, exterminating life without caring.
