But their polygamous traditions and intemperate lifestyle, although ordered by the Emperor to cease, could not be expunged; leaving House Zeylan stripped of most its wealth and prestige, cast regrettably out of favor with the Ardishapur, Kador and Sarum Royal Families, and marring their status throughout the Empire,

Ruthur, patron to House Zeylan, and in collusion with the patrons of Houses Kor-Azor and Tash-Murkon, mobilize their vast capital and political resources to ignite the First Amarrian Civil War; and splinter the Empire.
