Half dream, half memory.
Every touch heightened.
The sounds of air heavy with anticipation.
The feel of your warm breath against my skin.

A nip here, a bite there.
The whispered moan of pleasure
Turned to the growl of a starved predator
Descending upon its prey.

Teeth sink into flesh
Without thought beyond immediate desire.
Like snakes, fingers slip through tangles of hair
Pulling the head to expose yet unmarred flesh.

Fingernails paint pictures of passion on canvases of flesh.
And in your eyes the spirit of Dionysus stares back at me.
Then, Somewhere between pleasure and pain, madness and reason,
We lose ourselves in each other.

Our bodies went through the motions.
But our souls did the deed.
One moment of joy in a lifetime of sorrow.
Now, knowing grace I am cast out again.

Haunted by dreams I cannot grasp.
Of that whispered kiss that stole my breath.
Tortured by that moment when you chose.
And what I feel can only be satisfied by losing myself in you.
