We rule!

A beginning is a very delicate time... Know then, that is is the year YC114. The known universe is ruled by the ruthless caldarian capitalists, my brethren.
In this time, the most precious substance in the universe is the ice Melange. The ice extends life. The ice expands consciousness. The ice is vital to space travel. The Capital Ships and its navigators, who have refined the ice over thousands of years, use the special ice isotopes, which give them the ability to fold space. That is, travel to distant parts of the universe without moving. Oh, yes. I forgot to tell you. The ice exists on only a few systems in the entire universe. Desolate, dry systems with vast belts. Hidden away within the rocks of these belts are a people known as Miners, who have long held a prophecy that a time would come, a golden age, who would lead them to true wealth. The systems are in danger. Also known as EVE.
