I was in class that day. Teacher was just loading the mornings implant update and I thought I was daydreaming. That glint of gold against the blood red nebula was surreal. Teacher always taught us that gold was the color of death, of oppression but it was so beautiful shining there against the red of space. Like an angel. It hung there for what seemed like an eternity, or a few seconds. Then she rained laser death on us. Judged us for our sins, no, Judged us for one mans sins. I remember teacher pushed me into the escape pod and the force field cut her in half an instant after that golden angel bored a hole through the station. It was so big, so clean. You could fly a frigate through it. Then the world went white. I don't remember anything after that.
