Whenever you get so many people together in a vibrant (or not so vibrant, depending on who you talk to) economy, you inevitably get these interesting little holes, inefficiencies where people end up paying much more for something than the effort inherent in its provision.
Places where an intelligent player can take advantage of others, simply because he sees that which they all miss, he has access to that which they do not, or he can do easily that which they cannot.
Just as inevitable as these holes in the economy appearing, is the fact that they must eventually disappear. As more people get in on them, everything equalizes and the wily player must move on.
