Emigrated from a small mining town when the local resources had been depleted, Jakana took to space with his life savings with the intention of putting his Industry skills to good use.
Along the way he became embroiled with various corporations, alliances making a large number of contacts thoughout Caldari Space especialy with the Navy.
It was while carrying out these duties he responded to a distress signal, an amarrian fleet had been attacked by pirates, arriving too late to help the Amarr he dispatched the pirates with ease. The only survivors of the fleet was its cargo, Minmatar Slaves.
Always he had found the practice distasteful he returned the Minmatar to their people, making a few contacts, if not allies, along the way.
Now he works with one of those slaves, a man called Tanis Khan, but a boy when rescued by Jakana. They work together to rebuild what was once a fine Minmatar Unit, the 14th Legion.
