Born on Dakba IV to the powerful Claudius family, the ambitious Amulius began his career attending the Royal Amarr Institute. While there, he joined a Planatary Defense Fleet which helped rid the local systems of pirates. He then entered politics, becoming a advisor to the governor of Dakba. During this time, he became very cynical at the crumbling Amarrian Empire which he loved more than anything else. That all changed in YC110 when the Emperess Jamyl Sarum was crowned and a new Empyrean Age begun. Amulius quickly became one of the most vocal supporters of her reign.
In YC117 Amulius was devastated at the loss of Emperess Jamyl Sarum. He grieved in solitute at the loss of the beloved Emperess. He laid the failure of the Amarr Navy to protect her as a great sin against God. He has since taken on contracting work for the Amarr Navy in order to make sure events like that never happen again.
During an operation in Caldari space, he ran into Rin Arasaka fleeing bounty hunters. After dispatching the foes, he assisted her ship and crew. He was impressed with her logistics, mining and industrial skills. From that time on, she has served on Amulius' general staff.
