Before people on Earth thought we coudn't travel to mars in a years time. When most people believed that we hadn't setup Bases off Earth. I bought 5 pods with money I earned off the black market and flew up into space.
As I left Earth I found out that I wasn't alone in space. We had setup a Moon Base, and a Mars Base. I flew to Mars in less than an hour, it seemed more like minutes really. My ship computer was more advanced then anything you could find on Earth, it ran off my mind and my consciousness was the key. I had access to a map of the system and my auto pilot would dodge any debris. It was a moment of adventure for me. A time to explore space.
I was in communication with the Mars Base. There was also a human system about 3 stars away from our own. It wasn't long before I discovered alien life inhabited space near Earth. While exploring the Kuiper belt I was hailed by a large ship that drew my pod in. I could feel my mind in a flurry of activity
