Aktor hated the sky.
Not just today. Not just this planet. He hated the idea of sky: that too thin veil of air that covered these worlds. It's frailty made him cringe when he thought about it, so he tried not to.
Unfortunately, not thinking about the sky on a day like today was difficult at best. Today he was to take the elevator to the low orbit space platform that served as waystation to the stars. He had to go through all the layers of the atmosphere and into space to get there. The sky was very much on his mind today.
He pulled up his hood and stepped out into the rain.
