Bio
"Laconis Dax is a heretic!" snarled the Most Righteous Questioner of the Theology Council.
"Yes, but he is a very devout heretic." The Foremost Adjudicator's mouth turned up in a smile sour as rancid milk. "Other than his strange conviction that slavery demeans the Amarr people, he's perfectly orthodox. Zealous, even. He certainly has no love for the Minmat—"
The Questioner slammed a thick palm on the table. "Irrelevant!" he screamed. "By tolerating his blasphemy we invite the wrath of Almighty God!"
Silence rang in the chapel for a moment. The Adjudicator turned a cool gaze at the Questioner. The Questioner's heart beat faster; he had seen the Adjudicator personally torture men to death for lesser impudence. "What," croaked the Questioner, "will we do if he raises an army against us?"
The Adjudicator turned to the mural depicting the recent coronation of Empress Jamyl Sarum. "I suppose we shall burn that bridge when we come to it."
