Brisco Smiley

Brisco Smiley was born on a Friday afternoon and will die on a Sunday morning. Unlike most infants, who cry when they're born, the young Mr. Smiley twisted his miniature hands into two thumbs up and said "Disco!" As he was still quite inarticulate at the age of 7 seconds, this sounded more like "bisco." Staffers at the hospital took to calling him Brisco, and the name stuck.

As a young child, Brisco spent most of his time sharking the crews of docked freighters with his wicked game of pinochle. Not much is know about this period, but hospital and police records seem to indicate that freighter crewmen do not take kindly to loosing a month's salary of isk to a toddler who can shuffle with one hand. 35 people were convicted on charges related to the pinochle operation, but Brisco, a juvenile at the time, avoided prosecution. All 35 coconspirators later died in prison. Fondly recalling the period, Brisco says only "I may have been born yesterday, but I spent all night downtown."
