Like zerglings a Noob Merc may bite, but is mostly harmless on its own. Herds of Noob Mercs, often refered to as "omg lag". are to be regarded with caution. Once a week they can be seen lead by an alpha male, dubbed the Nubbin King, as they wander the systems searching for "blinky" and "WT".
As their numbers increase a herd will show less and less care for its own wellfare and pretty much lock and fire on anything coming in their path. They share a symbiotic relationship with Concord who will follow a herd around feasting on hapless members.
