Rainy Skies was born during the great floods in Dodixie that cost over 100,000 lives. Shortly after birth, Rainy’s mother died from complications. Due to her inherent luck, a passerby named V’dli spotted the newborn in her dead mother’s arms. Due to her silence, the passer by thought Rainy had died too. V’dli happened to be a very rich man due to his success in the Quafe business. But alas, even though he did not know how to care for a child, his honor kept him from just walking away to leave the infant to fend for itself so he took her in his arms and raised the child. Life was good for Rainy, when one day, while her father was away for business, she found a note attached to a crate of Quafe Special. Curious, Rainy cracked open a bottle and smelled it.
