The Quiet Prospector

Most capsuleers mine for profit. I mine because I enjoy the quiet.

There’s something satisfying about drifting through an asteroid belt, lasers humming, cargo hold filling, and the market ticking upward. Ore doesn’t complain. Rocks don’t shoot back. Usually.

But every so often, someone gets too close.

Maybe they’re after my ore. Maybe they’re looking for an easy kill. Maybe I’m just bored.

That’s when the mining lasers go silent.

The ship changes course. Weapons come online. And the quiet prospector becomes something considerably less peaceful.

I don't hunt people. I don't need to.

I mine. I haul. I make money.

And occasionally, someone reminds me why I keep guns on a mining ship.

Fly dangerous. Mine responsibly.
