Shoushpancheeck

The legendary shoushpancheeck, for there is fortunately only one known to exist, is the most dreaded monster native to the New Heaven.

It is fortunate that the shoushpancheeck is active only for short periods of time. Typically, the monster comes forth to forage for a week or two, ravaging the space for LYs around. The shoushpancheeck then seeks a hidden lair in dead space and lies dormant, sleeping for months before coming forth again.

Slaying of the shoushpancheek is said to be possible only if the ship is reduced to -30 000 or fewer structure hit points and Doomsday weapon is then used. Otherwise, even the slightest piece of the shoushpancheeck can regenerate and restore the ship completely. Legend says that a great treasure could be salvaged from its wreck.
