I spent my whole life searching.
Not for truth, justice or love.
Not for peace, or prosperity.
Not the lost or the needy, the sick or the poor.
Not for thrills or suffering.
Not for trials or obstacles.
I searched for none of this....

I searched for nothing.

This may seem abstract, and profound, but in essence its the very soul of human intent. It is not the reward or punishment that we search for, nor the path that gets us there. Its the act of striving, pushing ourselves further, against all odds or with the current. The act of searching in itself that defines human existence.

Instinct does not drive the human heart, it does not guide the human mind. Not fear nor lust, not anger. Not wrath or gluttony or pride. These sins are the failings of an impure race. A race shaped by societies moral code, restricting the growth and development of a natural order. By imposing our will upon the world we inevitably lead her towards destruction.
